Birthday Book Program

For many years, the Broadmeadow Library has run a Birthday Book Program to support the library collection.  This is a way for you to honor your child's birthday and at the same time, donate a book to the Broadmeadow Library.  Forms go home in September but are also available in the Library throughout the school year.  Ms. Potter tracks the birthdays and your students will get to choose a book at their birthday time (summer birthdays get a bonus)!

Broadmeadow Book Fair

Our Broadmeadow Book Fair is held annually in November!  Ms. Potter works with the PTC to provide great books as well a fun evening event!  A percentage of the profits come back to the Broadmeadow Library to purchase new books and supplies to support our students and their learning.

Library Pages

In fifth grade students have the option to apply to be a part of the Library Pages group. This group helps Ms. Potter before school as well as one recess per week to complete tasks in the library.  Tasks include weeding old books, processing new books, creating displays, organizing shelves, and checking books in and out.  Library Pages have a website here!

Library Volunteers

Did you know that over 1,000 books circulate through the Broadmeadow library every week?

Working in the Broadmeadow Media Center is a great way to both see your child during the school day AND make a big difference in our school!
Having volunteers handle shelving and checking books in and out allows the librarians to focus on teaching and working with children.

If you have never been a library volunteer, don't worry! Contact the PTC at [email protected]
and they will train you on your first day. Click on the Sign-Up Genius link below to volunteer and then select the tab for the day of the week you would like to come in.
