The Broadmeadow Library is a fun, welcoming place found at the center of the Broadmeadow School. Students, teachers, and parents use the library before, during and after school.
Our goal is to help students develop literature, information technology, and critical thinking skills. To do this we use print as well as electronic resources to cover a variety of subjects including reading, writing, science, social studies, and even art. There is a high level of collaboration between the librarians and the classroom teachers including units that are co-taught.
Common units of study are implemented at every grade level across the Needham Public Schools. The elementary program has a fixed weekly schedule with each class meeting once a week for 40 minutes.
