Kindergarten Update - May 17, 2024

Our May 8 Kindergarten screening and orientation sessions were a huge success! We really enjoyed meeting so many of our incoming families and students.  Click here to view a slideshow of the presentation.

If any of your Broadmeadow screening forms are still outstanding, I urge you to take the time to provide this important information to our team. If you are unsure if any screening documents are missing, please reach out to Roberta Redpath or Karly Foster via email and we will let you know which forms are outstanding.

We are looking forward to welcoming our class of 2037 later this summer! Please be sure to mark your calendars with these important events happening in late August.

• Tuesday, August 27, 2024: Broadmeadow Community Open House 2-2:30pm. Broadmeadow families and students are invited to visit the school to see their classrooms.

• Wednesday, August 28, 2024: Kindergarten Mini Day 9:30-10:30. Kindergarten students and their caregivers are invited to spend one hour at Broadmeadow (9:30-10:30am) on August 28th. Students will get acquainted with their new classrooms, classmates and teachers during this time. Accompanying adults will spend their time in the Performance Center.

• Thursday, August 29, 2024: First Full day of Kindergarten. Doors open at 8:05. Classes begin at 8:20. Parents are not allowed in the building for drop-off. Kindergarten teachers will communicate additional details before the start of school. All students are dismissed at 2:45.

If you do not plan on sending your child to kindergarten this fall, please email Roberta Redpath to have your student removed from our incoming kindergarten roster.

If you are planning for your child to ride a bus to school, it is also necessary for you to register them for transportation. Detailed information on registering for yellow bus transportation can be found here.
